JEFF BURTON WINS
THRILLING TEXAS RACE
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RACETRACK!
THE WEEKLY SMACK BY DJ RADANOVICH
APRIL 17TH, 2007

Jeff Burton won his 19th career NASCAR Nextel Cup race by passing Matt Kenseth on the last
lap in typical Jeff Burton fashion - clean.  Burton, who could have won at Bristol if he would have
laid the bumper to Kyle Busch, displayed the same sportsmanship with Kenseth as he did with
Busch.  Kyle Busch on the other hand did his usual, racing like the braindead idiot he is crashing
race leader Dale Earnhardt, Jr. while Dale slowed for the spinning Tony Stewart.  As Stewart
began to spin a huge cloud of tire smoke filled the air and instead of slowing down like your
supposed to now in these days of no racing back to the stripe, Kyle Busch decided to make an
opportunity of the melee but wound up buried in the back of Jr.  According to the Fox Track GPS,
Busch barely even slowed down before hitting Jr. ruining the race for both drivers.  And in his fit
of rage, the dumbo eared idiot left the track before the race was over and oddly enough Dale Jr.
stepped into the Lowe's #5 car to finish the race.  Kudos to Jr. for his display of sportsmanship
as well because I would have beat the little bastards ass for the crap he pulled out on the track.
I used to never think that racing back to the stripe was dangerous, but in this situation if a car
would have been turned sideways in the cloud of smoke this could have been a serious
accident.  Due to the circumstances and if NASCAR has any balls, Kyle Busch should be fined or
penalized in some manner.  On to the next moron, Juan Pablo Montoya did his usual this week as
he took out Tony Stewart previous to the Busch/Earnhardt Jr. wreck, and he even had enough
balls to say "Tony wasn't giving me any room to race."  Juan, WTF?  Are you serious?  I though
you are some great accomplished F1 driver?  And hey NASCAR, while there's some good racing
going on around the track, why all the Juan Pablo coverage?  Do we really want to see the
camera stuffed up one drivers ass?  Get real.  Later on in the evening on Wind Tunnel Dave
Despain played a clip where Tony said "That's what makes this stuff not fun anymore, it's not
about the racing.  I am ready to retire as soon as I can get enough money saved where I can
retire, I am ready to step away.  Mike quit it."  The "Mike quit it" come from someone trying to pull
him away and quit talking.  I know Tony's heart isn't in this NASCAR and it becomes more obvious
every year.  A few years back Tony was quoted "As soon as my contract is up with Gibbs, I'll be
back in a dirt late model enjoying the rest of my career."  Don't give up Smoke, there's plenty of
racing left this season.  But, I cannot agree more with his comments about NASCAR not being
about racing anymore.  NASCAR has turned into a soap opera and for the folks that see NASCAR
for what it is, they make their point with the declining ticket sales and the sinking TV ratings.
Due to the emails I have received about the Weekly Power Rankings for NASCAR, I guess I have
to continue it.  I did it just for fun for one week and apperently folks liked it, so here we go again!

1.
Jeff Gordon - Another top 5 but he had tears in his eyes.
2.
Jeff Burton - I wish he would had stuffed Kyle Busch in the wall at Bristol.
3.
Matt Kenseth - Chipped away all day and he's damn lucky Burton was racing him for the lead.
4.
Matt Kenseth - 3/4 of a lap away from victory.
5.
Jimmie Johnson - Move the steering wheel to the left or right to avoid accidents..
6.
Denny Hamlin - Another top ten and is now 5th in points.
7.
Jamie McMurray - Has really been running strong as of late.
8.
Kyle Busch - What can I say?  Total waste of sperm comes to mind.
9.
Clint Bowyer - A modest 16th but did move up to 6th in points.
10.
Mark Martin - Fifth top 5 in five races.  Lots of 5's here.
11.
Tony Stewart - Had a top 10 car but some "Juan" dumped him.
12.
David Stremme - Has been very impressive with his consistency.
13.
Carl Edwards - Finished 12th but never a factor.
14.
Juan Pablo Montoya - Needs to relax more and back off when he's out of control.
15.
Kevin Harvick - Was winning Daytona an omen?
16.
Kurt Busch - Slowly but surely this team is getting their program back together.
17.
Elliott Sadler - New driver, same car, same results.
18.
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. - Maybe I should have put him higher than this.
19.
Greg Biffle - Getting better each week.
20.
Martin Truex Jr. - Starting to show some promise.
