| THE WEEKLY SMACK BY DJ RADANOVICH MAY 30th, 2007 After three long rain delays and 103 caution laps, Dennis Setzer defied the odds and won the Ohio 250 without making a pit stop. Several other drivers tried this strategy but fell short of the mark on this gloomy overcast day in central Ohio, but the sun was shining on the Spears Motorsports team as they brought home their first victory since 2004. Mike Skinner led the first 53 circuits but relinquished the lead to Matt Crafton, who had a strong run going until he cut a tire down and tagged the wall on lap 121. This gave the lead to Rick Crawford who appeared to be on his way to victory until he cut a tire down on lap 239, paving the way for Setzer. The win for Setzer marked the 17th of his career and his ninth on a short track. During the race our friends at ThorSport had a great day going until Crafton hit the wall while leading, and short track ace Willie Allen ran out of fuel while running third. Crafton finished 35th while Allen came home 28th. In all, it was a fun afternoon despite the rain and this years race was light years better than last years. In other racing action across the land...
